Skin irritation is quite common and can be caused by any number of things. Skin irritation which can be in the form of basic red inflammation to severe pus filled infected areas. Milk is known to soothe irritated skin. Application of dissolved baking soda can also relieve irritation on the skin.
Along with skin irritation, which can appear anywhere on the body, you can also get facial skin irritation. This could mean an allergic reaction on the face. It could be for any number of reasons. Before you apply any home remedy on the face, clean the face with a gylcerin based unscented soap so as not to aggravate the irritation further.

There are different aroma therapy oils and herbs that can help relieve this irritation along with also treating the skin irritation symptoms.
• Chamomile and lavender are two such main ingredients that are useful in reducing the irritation on the face. Chamomile tea bags can be steeped and cooled and then applied to the irritated areas on the face. The application of green tea bags has also been known to help.
• You can even massage your face with aloe vera juice.
• You can even apply cucumber juice with cubes of ice on the inflamed face.
• Though a tad sticky, you can massage your face with honey. Honey’s microbial properties really benefit the skin.
• Massaging your face with yogurt mixed with honey is also very good for skin irritations.
• Application of lavender oil on the inflamed areas on the face is known to have a quick effect.
Application of vitamin E with milk can soothe skin irritation. Cold compresses of ice are also very beneficial. It is very important to first point out the skin irritation causes when seeking treatment for the same. This will also help in future prevention of the occurrence of the condition.
